For the 2021 Le Mans 24 Hours, the Panis Racing and PR1 Motorsports Mathiasen Oreca 07 LMP2s have been given new liveries by artist Laurent Minguet.
Two original paintings became decorations on the carbon bodies of the two prototypes. Stéphane Gervais, the founder of SportSysteme / Provence Wrapping, provided the artist with his expertise and technical support in order to produce, print and install the decorations on the two prototypes, which have a raw wood background for one and marble for the other, with paint drips to accentuate the speed effect.
"I wanted there to be a real artistic work. Originally, I made paintings of each car that gave the aesthetic concept of the cars' purpose. I took my artistic codes which include the following elements: backgrounds which are wood or marble, drips and hyper realistic brushwork. This is why I approached the subject with a painting which then became the car", explains Laurent Minguet.

For the 2016 FIA WEC season and 24 Hours of Le Mans, SPORTSYSTEME created and produced the decoration for two REBELLION Racing LMP1 prototypes.
The concept was to evolve the red chrome base decoration used during the 2015 season and to use the technical design of a REBELLION Timepieces watch mechanism (title sponsor of the team) with a special treatment: a red print on a chrome film with the mechanism in reserve. The technical challenge was to find the right partner for the printing of the SWF Avery Denisson Chrome film. After tests and trials, the choice fell on a specialist in England who supplies Formula 1 racing teams. To complete the creative concept a black metal brushed SWF Avery Denisson film was chosen.
The two cars have made a name for themselves both on and off the track. REBELLION Racing won the LMP1 World Team Championship with 8 victories (including the class win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans) and the cars were praised by fans and media alike. Photographers loved the reflections and lighting offered by the bodies of the two prototypes.
This concept has been declined on other supports during this racing season: drivers and mechanics suits, pit walls, bars...
